Today I received a sad email from one Collarme user detailing how he had spent many hours during many days over several months writing to a girl who he believed was "the girl of his dreams" - because of her photo on her Collarme profile. And on looking at this blog he found out that "she" was using someone else's picture.

By publicising FakeWatch on your journals or your profiles in Collarme, you can do a lot to prevent this kind of  thing from happening.

Which CM User is using the photo of this girl?

These pics appears somewhere on CM. CollarmeFakeWatch has seen them on a profile, but cannot recall it. Can anyone help?

Several very userufl finds today!

Its good to see that the blog is still proving popular despite efforts by fakesters' (or Collarme?) to close down any mention of it on Collarme itself. Currently there are on average a hundred visits to the blog daily. The efforts to hush it up have had some effect. The first day saw well over four hundred visits, the second day a hundred, and thus far today it looks to be a similar number.

If you have friends on Collarme, please let them know about the blog. Its still worth putting "FakeWatch" in your journal to publicise it. As far as we can tell, users who have it in their journals (particularly if its not in the headline entry), have not been taken out. Thanks again to those who keep reporting suspect profiles to us. Keep up the excellent work!

New profiles have been published on the blog today. Thanks to everyone on Collarme for continuing to contribute your findings to FakeWatch. The matters of concern expressed to FakeWatch about several malicious users are also being researched. Watch this space.
